Honorary Treasurer
Michael Shackcloth is a Consultant Thoracic
and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon at Liverpool Heart and Chest
Hospital. His specialist interests include lung cancer, oesophageal
cancer and minimally invasive thoracic surgery
including VATS lobectomy. He graduated from Manchester University
in 1994 and completed his basic surgical training in Manchester. He
moved to Liverpool for his cardiothoracic training and was
appointed a consultant at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in
2007.
Mr Shackcloth was appointed as BASO EJSO
Rep and in November 2021 takes on the role of the BASO Hon.
Treasurer.
