The subscription year runs from the 1st July, but new members can join at any stage during the year.

Membership Benefits:

All BASO~ACS members become affiliate members to our European sister Association ESSO and receive the electronic subscription to our in-house Journal EJSO by default (an additional fee is payable for members wishing to receive a paper copy of the EJSO).

Please be informed that your addresses are forwarded to ESSO and ELSEVIER to facilitate these benefits.

Don't worry if you cannot obtain sponsors to support your application, please leave this section blank and the Association will contact you to provide sponsors from our National Committee and group of experts.

However, we do agree to include in our mailings relevant items from other organisations, which are thought to be of interest. As an affiliate member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), all BASO~ACS members’ addresses are passed to their administrative office. Members will have their addresses forwarded to the EJSO’s publisher for journal distribution. BASO~ACS is committed to protecting the privacy and maintain the security of any personal information received from its members. Please note: Members joining in March to June are exempted from the July collection of subscriptions, although if there is an increase they may be asked to pay the difference.

Subscription Fees - Payment
The annual subscription is collected on the 1st July and includes receipt of the online subscription of the European Journal of Surgical Oncology (EJSO) and affiliate membership of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO). See notes below. 1. For UK bank account holders only: please complete and return the attached Direct Debit Mandate Form to BASO ~ ACS to activate your membership subscription 2. Members from the Republic Of Ireland can choose to join as a Full, Associate or Affiliate member or as an Overseas member. 3. Overseas members without a UK bank account should send an international draft in sterling for their initial subscription or can be provided with bank account details to make a BACS payment. Please make any cheques payable to 'BASO~The Association for Cancer Surgery'.
